Over 100 Women Protest Nak*d against Heavy Military Presence in Delta

Kokori Women numbering over 100 took to the streets Sunday afternoon against what they called 'siege on the Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State community by troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF)'.

The women protested in their birthday suits because they were unhappy that their husbands have fled the community due to the military operation launched in the wake of the arrest of notorious criminal, Kelvin Oniarah.

The naked protesters who comprised of young as well as old women defied soldiers who were deployed to the community in the wake of Friday's attack on the palace of the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom, HRM Ogurimerime Ukori 1, by armed youths suspected to be members of the notorious kidnap kingpin's gang.

According to a source from the community, the women sang songs of mourning for Kokori's fate.

"They said the soldiers who prevented their husband from coming home should come and sleep with them and perform the duties of their husbands," said the source.
